PageLayer breaks The Events Calendar plugin

Hi, I did buy the pagelayer pro, and that had a work around for this problem.  Namely, going to Pagelayer, then Theme Templates then edit the  Blog template.
Then you can add a condition, which is: 



Exclude -> Archives -> All Events Archive
It seemed to work, in that I can see the calendarand access all the events on the Events page  when I go to view site and try it out.
HOWEVER, in the real world, reaching the site Events page from any other computer just shows a blank where the calendar should be.
