Hi,

We will be reviewing the whole system of ISPSystem soon.
Their API was buggy and they released a fix a week back.
But Non-CENTOS servers face the issue of the "Softaculous Link" missing in the Control Panel

There's nothing wrong with the API; it works fine. It's incredibly simplistic with very few function calls. The problem is in the Softaculous application.

Hi,

Some of their updates prior to the last update caused the APIs not to work.
e.g. the creation of a MySQL Database without which Softaculous cannot work.

But the last update fixed the MySQL problem.
There still exists a bug with the Link not appearing in the Panel.

Here is the code as per their API :

Code

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<mgrdata>
    <mainmenu level="5">
        <node name="tool">
            <node name="softaculous" noapi="yes"/>
        </node>
    </mainmenu>
    <mainmenu level="7">
        <node name="tool">
            <node name="softaculous" noapi="yes"/>
        </node>
    </mainmenu>
    <lang name="en">
        <messages name="desktop">
            <msg name="menu_softaculous">Softaculous</msg>
        </messages>
    </lang>
</mgrdata>

This used to work perfectly well but its not working now.

You don't have permission to access /softaculous/index.php
on this server.---

This topic is 8 months old now and there's still no satisfactory answer.

I've moved to Cpanel. They work, have proper support and I have no problems.

Thanks ISPManager, you helped me realise that cpanel is just better.
