When I try to install something, this error comes up:

The following Errors were found :
           
  • Could not write the Configuration File settings.inc.php
How do I fix that?

Sir it means there is some permissions problems with the created folder.
Are you using Direct Admin or cPanel ?

I think it's happening in all the scripts.. I just tried mybb and this came up:

The following Errors were found :
           
  • Could not write the Configuration File config.php
  • Could not write the Configuration File settings.php
  • Could not write the Configuration File lock

Ok it was fixed.. PHP safe mode had to be turned off..

You need to switch off the Safe Mode in Easy php.

Where would I do that? I can't find the permissions link in the phpAdmin panel... or is this is interworx/siteworx?

You have to SSH to your server and change the safe mode settings in the php.ini file.
