Currently, major upgrading Mysql in Webuzo is Supported.
But you can do this manually by following steps.
In order to upgrade the Mysql database first take the Mysql database Backup from Webuzo backup utility.
Then take a Mysql Data directory backup which is located at /var/lib/mysql
Now remove your current Mysql and install what the version you want to install from Webuzo panel. (Don't install the lower version from your current version. This will cause problems while you restoring the database.)
Now go to the Webuzo backup utility in the Database section there you will find restore your database option by which you can restore your old database on a new version of Mysql.
Hi, this is interesting.I'm using Mysql 5.6 and i think is quite old so seems interesting upgrade to 5.7.
Is a safe process? If something will be wrong will be not possibile to return to 5.6.
I was thinked was not possibile upgrade from 5.6 to 5.7 but now with this instructions seems I can try.
