Hello everyone, I recently installed Virtualizor and after reading the documentation I realized that Xen is only supported up to Ubuntu 20.04, which has standard support only until Apr 2025. I would like to know if there are plans to update the list of operating systems for the Xen system since the end of Ubuntu 20.04 seems close to me.

Thank you!!

Hello,

I am from the Virtualizor Support Team.May I know the reason why you are still using Xen,
is there any specific reason to use xen ?
as most of the latest features are available in KVM?Let us know.

Hello, thanks for replying! Well, I like Xen's performance better, I think it's better than KVM when we use PVHVM or PVH modes. I tested XCP and I liked it a lot, but I'm not sure if you support virtualization or thin storage for XCP because in the virtualizor XenServer documentation it only shows LVM.

Ps: I'm not an expert on these issues, so I'm asking about the update or whether switching to XCP might be a good alternative.

Thank you!!

Hi Sir,

The supported XENserver Storage is LVM only

So there will be no more updates for XEN and the only storage format for XCP will be LVM, right? Confirm these questions to me so I can decide how I will continue my work.

If upgrading is not immediately feasible, subscribing to Ubuntu Pro can extend the security maintenance of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS until April 2030, giving you additional time to plan your upgrade strategy.
