I've done a quick search through the forums and I don't think any of these points have been answered yet. I apologise for the repost if they have.

Firstly, is there a way to stop the "you have installed x software" emails? Or even change the address they're sent to? I've tried stopping them from both the Admin side and the user-side and I can't find a way (I'm using the DirectAdmin version). It's getting a bit annoying to get an email everytime I install a script while I'm playing around and then another one to say it's been removed.

Has anyone figured out a way to enable Softaculous access to users on a user by user or package by package basis in DirectAdmin? Some users prefer to avoid these sorts of things and I'd like to be able to give them the opportunity. I'm not sure if this is more of a DirectAdmin issue, though.

Overall I have to say I'm loving Softaculous. I haven't had any stability issues and the number (and quality) of scripts it installs is fantastic!

Josh

To stop recieving emails go to the Email Settings in the Users Account. Choose it from the Dock.

There you will have an option to enable or disable the Installations email.

For the second question are you asking about how to disable Softaculous for users not wanting it ?

cPanel has the feature to disable by package but i am not sure about Direct Admin.

Thanks for that, I found the email settings. I'd seen the icons up there but assumed they were the same menu as the text-based ones.

And yes, I'm talking about disabling it for users or packages. I assumed it was more of a DirectAdmin question but I thought I'd ask if you had any experience with it. I'll look more into the DirectAdmin side.

Thanks!

As far as I know, it is a package-based option.
