 AMPPS installer for Linux (local desktop home user), where is it? removed? no longer supported? (4 Replies, Read 15227 times)

I am a non-coder, non-computer-professional who uses Linux as my daily driver on my home computer.

I want to install AMPPS on it. But I could not locate the installer download anywhere.

Do you no longer support such a configuration? If yes, can you please provide legacy downloads? My use-case is solely personal and not for any kind of production or commercial.

Hi,

We have launched v4 of AMPPS.
AMPPS v4.x is not compatible with Linux.

AMPPS currently supports only Windows or MacOS.
Still, you can find older versions for download on third-party websites(We do not recommend that).

For Linux we have Webuzo you can check more details at https://webuzo.com/

Webuzo is (1) not free of cost, is it? and (2) not designed for desktop linux,

and hence, unsuitable for my use-case.

Why such step-motherly treatment to Linux users, dada? No love for your hum-watani at all?  :-(

We understand the concern. Managing two separate products for the same operating system isn’t practical in the long run, so we decided to discontinue AMPPS for Linux and focus our efforts on Webuzo instead.
Webuzo isn’t specifically built for desktop Linux like AMPPS was — it’s more server-oriented.

That said, you can still run it locally on your desktop and access everything through your web browser if you just want a local web stack.

Thanks for the clarification. It makes sense to focus resources on a single product. While it’s a bit disappointing to see AMPPS for Linux discontinued, it’s good to know that Webuzo can still be used locally via the browser for development purposes. Appreciate the transparency and explanation!
