Server: Centos
Direct Admin

PHP Version : 5.2.10

Softaculous Version : 1.7

Latest Version : 2.5

I Followed these instructions:
cd /usr/local/directadmin/plugins
wget -N http://www.softaculous.com/da/install_softaculous.php
chmod 755 install_softaculous.php
/usr/local/bin/php /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/install_softaculous.php
Received this error upon install:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function chowngrp() in /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/install_softaculous.php on line 324

softaculous Shows up in DA fine, i get this error went attempting to edit the settings:
The following Errors were found :
           
  • Could not locate universal.php at the path you specified



I see there is an update to 2.5, but the only installer i see is for Cpanel, and i don't use Cpanel.  Will the update program work and upgrade it to 2.5 for DirectAdmin??

Hi,

Your CRON Jobs seem to be not working.
Also for upgrading to 2.5 simple use this command:
Root> php /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/softaculous/cron.php

I ran the update from the web interface and that got me up to 2.5  and everything seems to be fine now.

Why did the installer put 1.7 on and and not 2.5?

Is it still showing 1.7 after the upgrade ?

after the update it shows 2.5.  Just curious why it installed 1.7 originally.

Hi,

You might of installed Softaculous when 1.7 was the current version.
Please check whether the CRON File is there in :
/etc/cron.d

yes the cron is there and everything seems to be operational.
