Hi! I´ve been using it flawlessly until now to install wordpress on localhost and create a web with themify builder.
Now I want to use a Twitter plugin for wp which only works over PHP 5.4 or greater.
So I discover my AMPPS installed version supports up to PHP 5.6 and I can select it and restart apache and MySql, but then I lose access to my website.
Error: php installation appears to be missing the mysql extension
If I change the version to php 5.3 it works another time but I can´t use twitter wp plugin.
So, that means I need to reinstall ampps + wp and start to build the site from scratch once I change php version to 5.6 previously?
I´ve checked mysql.so and mysqli.so extension were activated. Also tried to deactivate that extension and activate those another time but with no effect.
If you recieve a permission denied error, just type the same adding the word "sudo" before the last command...
cd /usr/local/lib (enter)
sudo ln -s /Applications/AMPPS/mysql/lib/libmysqlclient.18.dylib (enter)
Enter your password, enter, stop apache and mysql. Select PHP Version 5.4/5.5/5.6
and start services another time.
Voila!
Thanks to the guys who solved it.
Currently 3.0 mac version has this error and also a fail in apache start which can be corrected editing the ini file.
Include that on the next update or we are going to drive crazy.
