We're excited to announce SecLayer v0.9.1, bringing several features that give administrators more flexibility and control over their server security.
This release introduces cPanel support, temporary Allow/Deny IP rules, and fully configurable DDoS protection settings. Whether you're managing a single server or hundreds of hosting accounts, these improvements make SecLayer even more powerful and easier to use.
What's New
cPanel Support
One of the most requested features is finally here.
SecLayer now supports cPanel, allowing hosting providers and server administrators to protect their cPanel servers with the same security and firewall capabilities available on other supported control panels.

Temporary Allow/Deny IP Addresses
Managing IP access just became much easier.
Previously, IPs could only be permanently allowed or denied. With this release, administrators can now specify how long an IP should remain in the Allow or Deny list.
Examples include:
- Allow a developer's IP for 2 hours
- Temporarily block a suspicious IP for 24 hours
- Grant short-term access during maintenance
- Automatically remove expired entries without manual intervention
This feature helps keep firewall rules clean while reducing administrative effort.
Configurable DDoS Protection
SecLayer's DDoS protection is now much more flexible.
Administrators can fine-tune protection based on their infrastructure instead of relying on fixed values.
Configurable options include
- Check Interval
- Ban Time
- Connection Limit
- Detection thresholds
- Other protection parameters
This allows you to balance security and usability depending on your server workload.
For example:
- Aggressive protection for public-facing APIs
- Relaxed settings for high-traffic websites
