The answer may be a resounding no, and that's ok, but I have tried for days to get AMPPS running reliably in a multi-mac development environment and it is really close. I have MySQL conflict problems even when only one device is powered on. I think it's a timing issue, but I have no idea.

It was setup this way:

1. Install AMPPS on a MacBook Air
2. MOVEd the AMPPS folder out of Applications, and to Dropbox and let it settle down synching at a solid 100MB/S connection.
3. Created a Symlink to Dropbox/AMPPS and placed it in the MacBook Application folder.
4. Started up AMPPS utilizing the Symlink. Works fine.

I then created a domain in the AMPPS control panel. Still looking good.

Installed WordPress on the new domain via the AMPPS control panel. Works great so far.

Next step was to fire up another device.

I synced my iMac and of course it looked great. I created a Symlink to the same Dropbox location, and it started up fine. The previously created domain was visible.

I updated my local hosts file and the WordPress install worked on either computer seemingly fine.

I made sure that AMPPS and therefore MySQL was only on a single machine at any time and made sure the Dropbox itself was always up to date.

It looks great, but I get database inconsistencies all the time rendering the installation useless. Looking in the Dropbox/AMPPS/var folder where the database lives I see the attached.

I'm at whits end and am ready to simply go back to the Duplicator plugin abandoning Dropbox and returning to MAMPS.

If this is simply not do-able, I'm ok with that, but it the threads seem to indicate otherwise. :-(

Sorry I am not able to get it as we have never tried using Ampps with Dropbox.

But I would suggest you to create a symlinks pointing towards dropbox folder for specific folder in Ampps.

For eg.

/Applications/AMPPS/www -> DROPBOX/AMPPS/www
/Applications/AMPPS/var -> DROPBOX/AMPPS/var

and may be private folder, if you want your installations details on softaculous to be synced.

Not all folders are required. Just your installations(web root, database) details are required.

Hope this helps :)
