running am update.app caused magenta site error out, I installed ampps 2.4 on Mac and installed magento manually. Everything worked fine until I tried to install amupdate. After updating am update, I am getting the following error Fatal error: Call to undefined function ctype_alnum() in /Applications/AMPPS/www/magento/lib/Zend/Uri.php on line 109 (2 Replies, Read 8435 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 4 Status:	I wish I could get this response earlier. I un-installed Magento, un-installed Ampps and re-installed everything. While doing so, I ran into few issues and finally resolved. All my findings have been captured in the blog : http://creativsite.com/newsroom/2014/06/installing-magento-on-local-server-and-ampps/ When re-installed AMPPS I realized that when upgrading ampps, it disabled the php patch ctype. Unfortunately I lost quite a bit of time and work. However, it was a good learning experience.
