Hello

Software market about dedicated server provisioning is very poor. With my re-search i found few solutions but every solution have some implementation and usage problems. There is only two almost good solutions

https://maas.io/
https://www.noc-ps.com/
http://www.easydcim.com/ best but you need also NOC-PS module

maybe you can make this in future like virtualizor addon or separate software, i`m sure that you can make changes in this market.

Thanks

Some private text here? Uhh, cool!
Hi,

a General Addon Framework to create own addons would be great.

I find the DCIManager by ISPsystem to be a good/affordable alternative

What is your experience with DCImanager?

When deciding on DCIM software, we considered primarily EasyDCIM and DCIManager. We wanted to achieve integration to our billing and support software, WHMCS, which both have available pre-built module integration. Also, we required that the software receive regular updates and be well-documented for use with modern software and infrastructure. We operate primarily Linux machines and hardware is combination of HP and Supermicro rackmount servers with Xeon E3 and E5 processors.

EasyDCIM has a friendly user-interface, but did not support HP servers and was considerably more expensive, especially with IP management and DNS Management modules. DCIManager offers similar modules with no additional fees. Also, DCIManager supports our hardware and proved to be much more economical and provides the integrations we wanted to achieve.

Which made it the better choice for us. I have no clue how whether it is applicable to your needs, but thought I would mention, since it is a DCIM, like the ones mentioned. So far we’ve not had any complaints.

Hey there guys! Sorry for booming this old topic.. but since DCImanager was mentioned here a couple of time, you may be interested that a new version of the panel is going to be released soon and its live-demo is already available for testing)

Cool, thanks for information. But DCImanage must to hire some designer. It`s little confusing and out of time design. Also it`s look complicated. i am tested and give up from DCImanager until he make some bigger changes.
This is not negative comment, i just share my experience and reason why i do not use dcimanager. Big positive feedback is for pricing model.

After all was completed, we actually settled on SynergyCP, as it integrated more smoothly with platforms and physical infrastructure. I believe the biggest drawback we discovered with DCImanager was incompatibility with HPE and specific rackswitches.

SynergyCP is not fancy, but it was reasonably priced and was not restricted by the server hardware...If you don't use HPE then you may find DCImanager to suit your needs.

Thank you for you feedback. I'm almost sure that you're speaking about the old version of DCImanager, which I can argue - is pretty out-of-dated and a bit complicated too! I can't post links here yet, since I'm the new member in this forum, but here is the texted version ispsystem[dot] com/software/dcimanager/dcimanager-six
I'm sure you'll like the new look.. and we're looking forward seeing the live-demo request from you:-)

Bit of a throwback, but when I was testing synergyCP and DCIM, neither were able to automate the IP allocation of server buildouts. I wanted something that would assign a server, provision a server, and assign IP addresses automatically. Doing that would require a VLAN change on our switches, but none did that as far as I could see. If I am wrong, enlighten me please!

You're probably going to find that in order to get IP management within a DCIM, you'll need a more "enterprise" level solution, which can get pricey. Honestly managing the IPs is work, but not overly disruptive once you find your rhythm!  :xd:
