I just installed Softaculous for the first time on my DirectAdmin server. I changed the default admin username in DirectAdmin from "admin" to "ostendo", for security purposes of course.
As many other DA-plugins, though, Softaculous also does not take into account the possibility that the default "admin" user does not exist.
This should be checked during install, by reading /usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/admin.list and checking whether the "admin" user exists. If not, another user should be used.
Besides this bug, at the end of the installation process, I got the following error:
chown: `admin:admin': invalid user
chown: `admin:admin': invalid user
Is this a problem? What to do? Can users use it now or will it go wrong in every possible way (the drama..)
So. A bug report and a support question. I hope someone can answer me quickly.
Thanks!
Bart
-- Edit: I can not save any settings, so it's really a bug. When I save settings in the admin panel, go to another section and then return to the settings-page, the saved settings are discarded.
