I doubt if this can be used on many servers. Most normal webhosting servers don't have software like FFmpeg and flvtool2.

You would be surprised, there are many hosts now who offer media packages with all the required software and resources you need to run a video site. We have over 100,000 users and growing fast. And that's just the number of downloads, so you can imagine how many installations there are out there right now.
