 Create Template - No snapshot found, What type of file do I need to create? (5 Replies, Read 3003 times)

I have Virtualizer for KVM and need to know what type of file I need to create in order for this to work? Can I use the backup feature? Do I need to create an .img file of my current VPS? Is this in the "wiki" and just can't find it?

You need stop VM want create template as it. Then copy file disk idvm.raw (if you used based file) to /var/virtualizor/kvm (when copied you need change name OS as you want). Then login admin panel and add this template.

Thanks this worked for the OS template :)
The other "Create Template" I will have to convert my to qcow2 .img, then it should work.

qemu-img convert test.qcow2 -O raw disk.img

It is Windows OS or Linux OS? If Windows OS, you need remove partition "system" before make OS template. Follow tutorial: http://www.geekshangout.com/removing-the-100mb-system-reserved-partition-after-windows-7-or-windows-2008-r2-has-been-installed/
