Some guidance for 2nd Wordpress install (3 Replies, Read 6027 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 2 Status:	Hi, I need some guidance for the installation of another Wordpress site. I currently have a Wordpress site which is up and running and, on the Web. I now have another domain (parked) so I need to install Wordpress again (or do I need to do something else?) for this new domain. What do I need to do? I tried installing via Softaculous but I get the following message: Installation cannot proceed because the following files already exist in the target folder : index.php license.txt readme.html wp-activate.php wp-admin wp-app.php etc... I'm not quite sure what to do here. There is an option to overwrite files but I don't think I want to do this. Im not the most technical when it comes to cpanel and Wordpress so please be specific if you can help. Thanks :-)

If you want to install WordPress on another domain then go to your cPanel and add a domain to your account then the domain will be available when you install WordPress you can select your domain and then it will be installed there. ----------------------- Webuzo - Multi User Hosting Control Panel AMPPS - Best WordPress/PHP/MySQL development tool

I have a parked domain so I want to set up an install for this so I can work on this new site before it goes live. Therefore, I have this option for the new domain and I chose it but that is when I got the above message for overwriting the files. My question here is what do I need to do in order to add this additional wordpress website? There is probably another setting I need to add/change.

Please use a different directory name than the one you used during the previous installation.
