 Un-install softaculous, Some problems with un-install (6 Replies, Read 5348 times)

I run this command:

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/unregister_cpanelplugin /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/softaculous.cpanelplugin


Then remove files.

rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous
rm -rf /var/softaculous
rm -rf /etc/cron.d/softaculous

Icon is out of users cPanel, but the link is still there and in WHM under plugins the link is still there, how to remove both?

Hi,

Please remove the file:
/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_softaculous.php

Also run a for loop and remove cPanels cache of links. e.g.:
remove file /home/user/.cpanel

This will take out the link.
There is a bug in the cPanel unregister plugin tool.

Well I tried all of the above, except for the delete .cpanel as I do not exaclty know what that will do. I removed softaculous but the link softaculous (not the icon) is still showing up in cpanel. How do i fully remove all softaculous components.

I removed
rm -rf /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous

rm -rf /var/softaculous

rm -rf /etc/cron.d/softaculous

/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/addon_softaculous.php

Hi,

You will need to delete the cPanel cache i.e. /home/username/.cpanel for the icon to go completely.

still not working for me to remove completely.. the icon is still in cp
