 Auto-updates on pro plugins installed via softaculous? (1 Replies, Read 1303 times)

Hi, my hosting provider enables me to install PRO version of certain plugins for FREE (via softaculous)

In wp dash (plugins) I see two entries, base plugin and PRO plugin.

But I see "Enable auto-updates" option is only visible/available for the base plugin and not for the PRO plugin. Wouldn't this be a security risk not being able to update the PRO plugin?

What would happen in case future security updates/patches are released for some of those PRO plugins?

I appreciate your clarification on this and your recommendation on how to handle that

Hi,


That is a WordPress limitation for all Pro plugins that you would install on your WordPress site not just the Softaculous Pro plugins.

If we release any security update in any of our plugins we do auto update the plugins (via Softaculous).
