Hello all. Im new.

I have recently setup my website (BRILLIANT) and now I want to setup the email part but my IP address PTR is not pointing to my server, it's pointing to my ISP. They do not want to change the PTR. Can I use the mail that way or does the PTR have to point to my server?

Hi,

Sir, you can use the mail server. Still, if the server's public IP has a PTR record that points to your ISP rather than your mail server hostname, outbound email delivery will be problematic, especially to Gmail.
If your MX record points correctly to your server, other mail servers can deliver mail to you.

Let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi,
Yes, that would be an option. The PTR issue mainly affects outgoing mail from your server. If your ISP does not allow the PTR/rDNS to point to your mail server hostname, you can configure your ISP's SMTP server (smarthost/relay) for outgoing emails instead of sending directly from your server.

For incoming mail, your MX record can still point to your Webuzo mail server, so incoming delivery should work normally.

You can ask your ISP for their SMTP relay hostname, port, and authentication requirements. Also make sure your SPF record authorizes the ISP's mail servers (and configure DKIM if available).
