Before the latest Update, i had a Softaculous App Installer icon on the Cpanel homepage as a different tab. Now, its under Software Tab and there is a slider for top scripts and categories show in cPanel.

Its a great update, but i really want to revert to the way it was before just because i have some bot script to automate the whole domain buying/cPanel addition and wordpress setup which is effected by this move.

So, is there is a way, i could just have one icon for Softaculous App Installer in a seperate tab in cPanel homepage.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay in response.

The icon should be there in Software Category in cPanel.

The apps slider section was added as an additional feature and does not affect the icon which was previously available.

Can you please try executing the following command and check if it resolves your issue :
Code
/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/install_plugin /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/softaculous_plugin.tar.bz2

Let us know if you still face the issue.

The new layout is part of the updated cPanel integration, so there’s usually no built-in option to move Softaculous back to a separate tab like before. It mainly depends on your hosting provider’s cPanel theme and settings—some hosts may allow customizations, but most don’t.

You might need to update your automation script to match the new structure, or check with your host if they can adjust the interface on their end.

And if you’re sharing screenshots of your setup, using a hide face emoji tool can help keep sensitive details private.
