First of all, sorry for the multiple posts, since it doesn't seems I cannot edit me previous ones.

So I've just come across your release notes for version 5.3.4 of Softaculous :

3) [Feature]: Added “Maximum backups per user (Local)” setting in Softaculous admin panel to restrict the maximum number of backups a user can create on the local server. The old setting “Maximum backups per user (Local & Remote)” can be used to restrict total number of backups irrespective of the location on which backup is done.

So I suppose it answers my question to the first of my two previous posts.

I suppose you can set the settings like so to be able to do unlimited amount of remote backups :
  • Maximum backups per user (Local) : 3
  • Maximum backups per user (Local) : unlimited (or unset?)
