thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this is not a good working workaround since regular users neither can change the permissions in the admin panel nor want to care about file permissions after installation.
Could you please check whether there is a way to disable the suphp check globally in Softaculous or (if not possible) disable the check with a pre_install hook?
If both is not possible it would be great if you keep this as a feature requests for server admins who know how to handle PHP without suphp (I guess the guys using FastCGI will have the same problem).
