I thought it would be worth posting my process getting AMPPS running on the same machine that is running another web server and Database.
The mac had a previous install of CrushFTP that was using both port 80 and port 443.
Once I disabled both ports in CrushFTP Apache started up from the AMPPS control panel, this should apply to what ever web server you are using.
Next on to MySQL.
After a lot of hunting I found that the CrushFTP MySQL service was using the same default MySQL port. port 3306.
A quick port change in the MySQL config in the AMPPS control panel to a different port and MySQL started right up.
This now allowed me to run AMPPS locally.
Basically I now have 2 instances of apache and 2 instances of MySQL running on the same machine.
I hope this helps someone else who finds themselves in a similar situation.
