Hello,

We just set up  test installation with 2 servers managed by H-Sphere and tried to use softaculous to provide easy way to manage php applications for customers. However we are planning to use external tool to provisioning php application via softaculous, because of buggy  H-Sphere realization. Can you please let me know if I can do API with softaculous, installed for H-Sphere, directly, without involving H-Sphere?

Hi,

Softaculous requires a panel to function. Are you planning to completely remove H-Sphere from your server or just disable access for your users ?

Actually we are going to use Hostbill soon, so I would  like to have a possibility to install  php apps basing on Hostbill users data. Do you think it is possible?

Hi,

Are you going to use Hostbill in your Hsphere ? If yes you can simply install Softaculous on your Hsphere and then you can use the Softaculous API to perform tasks like Installing apps, upgrade apps, removing apps, backups, restore, etc :

The URL you sent telling

include_once('sdk.php');
$new = new Softaculous_API();
$new->login = 'https://user:password@domain.com:2083/frontend/x3/softaculous/index.live.php';

But there is nothing listening on 2083 port on machine where H-Sphere web/ softaculous installed, so how exactly I can use API?

Hi,

That is an example for cPanel. You will have to set the login URL for Hsphere. You can find it on their docs.

Means parallels should have a manual about how to use  softaculous api?
What I was able to find in their KB is "Softaculous is unable to be activated in H-Sphere" and  "Apache graceful restart fails after installation of Softaculous".
Do you think they really have any API to manage php apps?

No. All the panels have their API to allow login. The one provided in our docs is an example of cPanel's API to login similarly you will have to use the Hsphere's API to login.
