Hello,

Recently, I get the same problem after webuzo successfully installed. This problem occurs on two of my vps, which has been installed webuzo recently. I'm just wondering, is this a bug? Because I did not find the mysql root password in /var/webuzo/my.conf, even I don't see my.conf file in the directory /var/webuzo/.

Thanks

Hi,

Sir please make sure default mysql is not installed on your server.

Remove the /var/lib/mysql directory then reinstall mysql.

In phpmyadmin they are just notice if you set error reporting off in /usr/local/emps/etc/php.ini then it wont be displayed.

Hi bro,

What do you mean about the default mysql? This is a fresh installation with Ubuntu LTS. In addition, I also did not find the /var/lib/mysql directory. So what should I do?  :??:

Thanks

Hi,

Sir run the following command from the terminal;

Code
root>apt-get remove mysql

Then reinstall mysql from webuzo enduser apps categories.

If you still face an issue please open a support ticket with your server detail.

Thanks bro but the command not working, because I did not install default mysql in my Ubuntu 12.04 vps. As I said, this problem only occurs in two of my vps. Previously, I have installed webuzo in thousands VPS and no problems like this.

Code
root@server:~# apt-get remove mysql
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package mysql
root@server:~#

Problem solved, I've removed mysql from the enduser apps categories and also in the /var/softaculous/apps/mysql directory. After that I install MariaDB and now I can login to phpmyadmin without any problems. It seems that this problem is caused by an incomplete mysql installation, although I try to install mysql repeatedly in enduser apps categories.

I have the exact same problem.  Is it possible for WEBUZO to fix this problem so we don't have to struggle with it.  All of the users in this discussion thread have the same problem.

If you can't solve it, can you at least make a blog post with English I can understand.  And create a link to that blogpost for me.

I can't find the folder you refer to with using the file manager.

What does enduser apps categories mean and where do I find it?

OK, I've found the apps but am now worried.  I have a WordPress Website on my VPS.  If I started to delete mysql on my VPS how will it affect my WordPress database?

OK, I've solved the problem for myself. I'm now able to get into phpmyadmin without any problem. It was very easy.  I don't understand why the recommendation in this thread was to edit out errors, as that would have been counter productive.  The errors are there for a very good reason.  phpMyAdmin is saying you can't access me with your WEBUZO login and password.  I need your WEBUZO root password.  Which of course makes it secure.

I located the WEBUZO hard coded password in:

/var/webuzo/my.conf

I did that by using my SSL client Puttey.  And then the vi editing command to open the file.  Once I was able to copy the hard coded password it was dead easy.  Think I like that password and will keep on using it as it looks very secure.
