Hi there,
I am a newbie and maybe this is a silly question, but I have googeled my self out of the house and can't find a solution:
I have open cart installed locally and all works fine, now I would like to apply a theme which I downloaded to my computer. How do I get it into AMPPS and onto the local machine???  :squi:
Happy about any input!!
Cheers, Ans

Hi,

You can copy the entire template folder into the 'catalog/view/theme' folder. Then select the newly installed template from the dropdown box in Open Cart admin panel -> configuration -> settings

OC is future
It is not always the case.

When theme modifies not core system, is ok, Brijesh has right but when theme modifies core or have vqmod component always all files are in folder "uploads". The contents of the folder must be uploads to root store directory.

So:
  1. when You see folder "uploads", files upload to root directory
  2. when You see only folder with theme name, uploads files to "catalog/view/theme" folder

Hi,

@dswww Thank you for the details, it will help the users.

I was referring to a default template installation in my previous post.
