setting up Volume Groups after initial installation created on single volume group using all space, setting up Volume Groups after initial installation created on single volume group using all space (1 Replies, Read 5588 times)
First, apologies in advance for this post. I haven't used LVM in 7 years and seemingly forgot everything I knew since operating a fairly large xen cluster.
I have a CentOS 6.4 box installed from scratch with the following setup:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/cciss/c0d0p1 * 1 63 256000 83 Linux
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/cciss/c0d0p2 63 119695 488096768 8e Linux LVM
I've installed Virtualizor for Xen and unfortunately only found after the install that the Volume group I specified in the installer must be empty/not mounted.
Can anyone give me advice on how to resize this vg and add a new one for Xen/Virtualizor to use?
