I too was disappointed in the email handling with this panel, but I found a solution that is VERY inexpensive and works GREAT! I tried some other panels and had issues with their email systems as well, and I just got tired of it all.
I found out about MXRoute email service, and I'm glad I did. They do email, and nothing but email, inexpensively and pretty damn awesomely. I tried a few free email services, but was not happy with them for various reasons. I read about these guys on the Low End Talk forum, and gave em a try, and have been a happy customer for about 3 months now.
They have monthly plans and yearly plans, all offer unlimited domains and unlimited email accounts. The only differences are in the amount of disk space for storage. We're talking $15/yr for 5 GB, $20/year for 10GB or $25/year for 15 GB of storage. That's right, not per month, those prices are per year!
I'm running on the 10GB plan, and could easily exist on the 5GB one. But I have a few clients who send images and attachments and sometimes can let their box get a bit full, so I spent the extra $5/year to double the storage just in case. I use it for all my email and website email now, about 12-15 different domains each with a few email accounts and aliases.
Outbound filtering is handled by MailChannels so mail gets delivered ALWAYS, he uses Cpanel for us to administer our accounts, so we're all pretty familiar with that already. Speed of connections and delivery is much faster than any vps/panel/config that I have tried, so it's well worth the few bucks a month for 0 headaches.
In your welcome email you get the info you need to set your spf records, and if you use their DNS servers, DKIM is setup automatically, or if you want to use CloudFlare or any other DNS server there is a knowledge base article explaining how to do it on your own. I have done both methods and get great email server scores from whatever testing site you choose.
This all might sound like a sales pitch, but I feel your pain when it comes to panel authors not answering questions, helping with problems etc. Webuzo performs well for me serving wordpress sites, but the email is lacking, and MXRoute is a great solution for a little cost that takes your email pain away, and still use this great control panel.
Plus you can delete the email services on your vps or server, and save some RAM, always a bonus! If the links to MXRoute are disabled or not allowed, PM me and I'll be glad to share.
