I have created a add-on domain say example.com which points to the directory /home/asdf/www/example.com , when I am opening the domain example.com in my browser I am able to open it.

I created a subdomain as add-on domain say named web.example.com which I have pointed to the directory  /home/asdf/www/example.com/web

When I am opening example.com/web in my browser then I am able to open it.
But when I am opening web.example.com in the browser then I am getting  -- 404 Not Found, The requested URL was not found on this server.

What is wrong ?
