 password protect a directory in ampps, What is the actual root? (9 Replies, Read 3292 times)

Hi,

I've been trying to password protect a directory with .htaccess and I get a 500 error when trying. I am simply testing. This is what I have in the .htaccess file:

AuthName "Restricted Area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile /www/mydomain.com/pass/.htpasswd
AuthGroupFile /dev/null
require valid-user

I think the file path may be wrong?

The .htpasswd in the pass directory has this in it:
sluiting:KuVt0zKHWe3UE
