I have Softaculous on Directadmin, i have connected directadmin to my AWS RDS database and tested and it works fine. I can create databases and everything works as expected.

However, in Softaculous when attempting to install software i get the error message Error in creating Database : Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to server on "my database details" (115)
Error in deleting Database

I have changed the phpMyAdmin settings to my database and back but softaculous overlooks it and seems to only care about the directadmin database details.

Any solution to this problem as I want to use a remote database instead of the local one.

Hi,

We use Directadmin API to create the database. It looks like Directadmin API is unable to create the database and it returns the error message you see on the screen.

Please contact Directadmin team to resolve the database creation issue.

Once that is resolved the database creation and software installation should work fine via Softaculous.
