I installed AMPPS on a fresh and very clean Windows XP instalation, SP 2 and Apache don't start. I am not using another software like skype or others, even my antivirus is disabled. Can you help me to make it start? Thanks a lot!

Hi,

Its not a bug, minimum requirement to work with Apache is Windows XP SP3+ and so also for Ampps and yours is Windows XP SP2 which is not supported. You can check the minimum requirements for Ampps here,
http://www.ampps.com/downloads

Please let us know if you need any further information.

Hi,

Please run the following command in command prompt and let us know the output/error,

"path\to\Ampps\apache\bin\httpd.exe"

Note: "path\to\Ampps" here means Ampps installation directory,
For eg: "C:\Ampps

Hi,

Please download Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) from the link given below and install it,
http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=29

Then try starting Apache from Ampps or command prompt.

Let us know if you still facing the problem.
