bbPress Question, Just a question (15 Replies, Read 32977 times)

Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 8 Status:	Hi Softaculous Team, Just a curious question, I couldn't find an answer on the forums or website. bbPress is v1.2 in Softaculous, and it shows as not being updated for 2 years. But according to Wordpress it is version 2.6.4 and updated in January 2020. Is this a case you just haven't gotten around to update it? I'm just curious.

Since past few years they evolved as a WordPress plugin instead of an independent package hence it was not updated in our repo. Group: Member Post Group: Newbie Posts: 1 Status:	Hi! 2025 here, so I searched on previous posts if my question would have been already answered and found this thread, which is exactly what I was looking for. I found the very same error on my Softaculous stating that bbPress project is not maintained for more that two years, but checking their website, I can see that the last update is not even one year old as of now. So I guess you could add some information helping users understand that bbPress is now a WordPress plugin and, even if one decides to use Softaculous to install it, the user should be aware that the Softaculous error message is not correct. I wonder how many of us have given up on bbPress installation because of this misleading Softaculous error? Thank you.
