The Webuzo Admin Panel offers an automatic update functionality of Webuzo as well as the Webuzo scripts (Webuzo applications).

To clearly understand the extent of the automatic updating functionality of the Webuzo scripts on - a Webuzo AWS EC2 cloud server - will this also automatically update existing and already deployed domainname websites  (e.g. a WordPress or Drupal website) on the server resulting in these websites then running the latest versions of WordPress or Drupal?

If not - already deployed website(s) - would then need manual updating ( of its 'used' WordPress or Drupal version).

What would be best and most efficient practices fully utilizing the various Webuzo functionalities for updating (and 'redeploying') these websites ?

Could you give detailed instructions on how best to update your website to the latest Webuzo script (application)?

Maybe back-up your database first, then possibly 'redeploy' / launch a new e.g. Drupal or WordPress installation etc. ?

Hi,

It is possible to Auto upgrade the applications from the Webuzo Admin panel but if the auto upgrade is supported for that script. We are updating the script packages and will add auto upgrade for as many applications as possible.
Here is the guide on how to auto upgrade an application :

Webuzo will take the backup before upgrade and if anything goes wrong Webuzo will restore the installation from the backup taken.

thank you for your reply. Great to learn Webuzo/Softaculous can update (automatically) the applications/sites of end users !! Saves a lot of time and headaches compared to our hosted websites else!
