Is it possible to change the location of the scripts that are available to be installed on the server?
We use a secondary drive on many of our servers which we keep software located on and would prefer that the scripts are located in an alternate folder than the /var partition.
I know in the settings area we can change the location of the path to the scripts, however changing that to a new folder doesn't appear to actually save.
Sir you can copy the folder /var/softaculous to /your/desired/path
Then update the path in the Softaculous Admin.
It will save it. The reason we implemented such a restriction was to avoid double downloading of scripts.
You can also use a network path and it will help save 200mbs of space per server on which you use Softaculous.

Alons
