Hello

Thank you for Softaculous/Ampps

I have been reading many posts here and elsewhere about changing from port 80 to another port, I have learnt a little here and a little there

Nowhere to be found is a step by step guide for making the correct changes so AMPPS will work on a different port

If I want Softaculous/Ampps to work correctly using for instance port 81 - Will you kindly explain which config files need altering and what lines in each config file

I am aware that I will need to manually type in the address with the correct port number to gain access to local, admin etc

Thank you in advance and sorry to have bothered you about a subject you must have discussed many times in the past

Hi Petros,

Open Ampps control panel go to Apache tab and click on Configuration.

Make following changes:

Listen 80 TO Listen 81

ServerName 127.0.0.1:80 TO ServerName 127.0.0.1:81

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:80> TO <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:81>

Now save it and Run Apache

You have to access your softaculous Ampps with port no.

localhost:81/ampps
