 YOURLS installation problems (3 Replies, Read 7201 times)

I have tried 4 times now to install YOURLS on one of my domains, and each time it says it's installed, but when I click on the link (and/or the admin link) I am getting 500 internal errors

Please contact the server administrator,
webmaster@smurl.me and inform them of the time the error occurred,
and anything you might have done that may have
caused the error.

in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Sir, What are your CHMOD settings in Softaculous Admin Panel -> Settings
Also is suPHP enabled.
If yes, then please ensure directories is set to 0755 and files to 0644

I thought the whole idea was to be an auto installer?

If my clients have to set file permissions, then I don't see the benefits of using an installer?

Hi,

The clients dont have to set it all the time.
Softaculous has inbuilt recognition system for suPHP.
But it will be detectable only if PHP is running as an Apache Module.
Hence we added a Manual override in the Admin Panel which can be set just once as per the required configuration.
You just need to set it up once sir in the Admin Panel.
