 Not creating WordPress database, The MySQL Connection could not be established (9 Replies, Read 4706 times)

Trying to install WordPress. Seems to work until I click the "install" button, then after several seconds I get "The MySQL Connection could not be established"
Linux/Plesk server
Also tried to install Serendipity, same result. Tried on different domain, same result. I really want to offer my hosting clients this one-click installer. Please help!

Not sure what that means. I click the Softaculous icon, Then in the navigation window on the left, Blogs, then Wordpress, then Install (top menu). Software setup window appears. I change what needs to be changed, and when I click the Install button at the bottom, I get the message "The MySQL Connection could not be established."

Which Plesk version are your using ?
8.x or 9.x

This bug is fixed in the 3.1 version, which is sheduled for release by next week.
Plesk 8.x is having the issue.
You can take the new file from the support team right away.

OK, Alons, thank you. I am juggling so many things right now and facing deadlines so I can't move forward with this as fast as I would like.

I hate to seem really dumb, but can you please tell me what you mean when you say "You can take the new file from the support team right away."

Hi,

The updated file for plesk 8.6.0 which fixes the issue of the Database not being created.
The support team will assist you to install the fixed file before 3.1 is out.
