Hello All,
I have cPanel Installed in my VPS. I feel that ionCube is not installed.
I get this error: Site error: the file /usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/docroot/cgi/softaculous/enduser/inc.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.
When I installed it from WHM it showed no error, and showed me the congratulations page.
Can someone show me the way to install it, I will install it myself just dont know the way?
Thanks.

Go to WHM > Tweak Settings.
Search for PHP > ioncube

Check it and submit.
Then please install.

Hello,

I have installed ionCube and also done the tweak setting as you told. In WHM it shows me that installation is successful. But when I try to access it from cPanel it get the same error as stated in the previous post.

Do I need to make some changes in inc.php file?

Thanks for your help.

You can also check by using

/scripts/phpextensionmgr status IonCubeLoader

It should come back:

Determining status of IonCubeLoader
IonCubeLoader extension is installed

Otherwise run:

/scripts/phpextensionmgr install IonCubeLoader

plus making sure WHM is set as above.

Did you restart apache?  If you did not since the install of ioncube, it probably will not work.  You can do that either in WHM or ssh, service httpd restart.

Hi,

cPanel has two PHP binaries and two PHP.ini
In 11.25 it seems its not installing ionCube for the WHM part.

The WHM php.ini is in the following locations:
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc or
/var/cpanel/3rdparty/etc

You will need to manually install ioncube or contact our suppor team and they will do it for you.

I have also raised the issue with the cPanel guys and will get back to you when I get a solution.

Regards,
Alons

For some reason, I decided to reboot the server. Once everything came back up, I checked the script and the error went away. Note: this is using 11.25 cPanel

I guess then even cPanel needs a reboot after the Tweak Settings.
I will confirm with them

Hi,

The cPanel guys have said to run:
/scripts/makecpphp

It should fix any problems in PHP.
Also as per them a reboot is unncessary.

I am having the identical issue and ran /scripts/makecpphp but this did *not* resolve my issue and I am still getting the error.

Please advise...

Thanks!!

PS /scripts/makecpphp is not trivial...it appears to do *lots* of things...about 15 minutes to run
