We currently use Fantastico under cPanel and have the following structure:
Different Packages are set up with different Feature Lists.
Where Fantastico is enabled in the Feature list, there is a corresponding Fantastico usage restriction...
Thus some packages (such as the mail forwarding only package) does not require Fantastico and are disabled in the mail forwarding package Feature List in cPanel.
Some of our lower cost hosting packages come with Fantastico enabled, but we do not give them all the features available in Fantastico and thus restrict what can be used and what cannot be used within Fantastico using the "Features Sets" in the Fantastico Admin within cPanel.
I have downloaded and installed the 'free' version of Softaculous but can not find something similar to the above. Is this simply not available at all or is it a restriction in the Free version?
FWIW, I am looking as setting up as a Softaculous NOC partner and trying to find the best solution for my customers.
We will be adding this feature soon.
It will be there by Softaculous 2.9/3.0
