 app upgrades, Is there a 1 click upgrade (7 Replies, Read 3103 times)

AFter everything is setup,.. for example, if I need to upgrade joomla on a individual site,... is there a 1-click upgrade like Godaddy or Simplescripts ??

Hi,

Yes there will be an upgrade option.
Softaculous will copy the new files to the existing installation and then give a link to continue the upgrade via the Scripts UPGRADE utility.

I do see the import feature which I also used with success, but does the Softaculous upgrade the existing installation of, lets says a wordpress install that was setup by fantastico from version 2.8.6 to 3.0.1?

If so, where would that functionality be found or do you have documentation available regarding this?

Hi,

If the version is older than the latest version, you will see a "Upgrade ICON" next to the installation Version in the "List of Installations"

This icon does not appear ... only Backup and Remove show.

This software (phpWCMS 1.4.4) was manually  installed myself recently.  I imported the application into Softaculous successfully.  Now there's a newer version 1.4.5 and I want to upgrade.

First, I tried to do a backup with both backup files and backup database checked and received this error:

"The following errors were found :
           
  • There were errors while adding the Database to the backup."
What should I do?

Hi,

Is your MySQL binary located at a different place other that /usr/local/mysql ?
That could be a reason for this failure.
