Hi,

Sir, you need to have the "admin" username as an admin.
The program is designed to CHOWN as per the admin user only.

Regards,
Alons

Hi Alons,

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous.  I don't have an admin user named "admin". I only have one administrator in my DirectAdmin, and it's called "ostendo". If you say you support DirectAdmin, you should also support this. It is a security consideration to disable and delete the default admin username "admin", just as you say, because almost everybody uses that as the admin username. That means you only have to guess the password then. Now you also have to guess the username.

Anyway, all these security things don't matter, if you REALLY support DirectAdmin, you should REALLY support this issue and take care of it. It is never said that the administrator user of DirectAdmin MUST be called "admin", so it's not safe for Softaculous to just "assume" that.
