How to add SSL to mail.mydomain.com?

I to have the same problem, I've been looking for weeks for a way to send emails from gmail with my domain, but it's not possible.

mail.mydomain.com doesn't have SSL, I tried to create a subdomain "mail.mydomain.com" and add an SSL to it, but it didn't work.
