 Softaculous WordPress Remote Import Not Working (6 Replies, Read 21622 times)

Hello

We have 3 managed cPanel servers, and several accounts on one of these containing our custom WordPress set-up templates.

Over the last few weeks, we have noticed that we cannot use the Softaculous remote import feature to install our templates on the other remote servers.

The process either fails with the attached errors or hangs indefinitely at 95%.

Is anyone able to offer some advice please?

There could be several reasons to this. We will need to review it by checking the logs.

I have managed to get this error posted by AlisonRex above plus "The following errors were found :
• WordPress is already installed at [link removed because new to forum and won't post with links] as per our records and is being maintained by us!"

or "The following errors were found :
• Could not connect to the FTP server"


Logged a ticket after seeing the reply from Brijesh here.

Anyone else got a fix?

Hmm ok, good point. I know my credentials are all ok as I can FTP into both Source and Destination servers, it is just softaculous remote import that is having issues...

Hi,

In Remote Import your destination server will try to connect to your source server's FTP server.

Please make sure your source FTP server does not block connection requests from destination server IP via Firewall.

I'm confident my credentials are correct since I can successfully FTP into both the Source and Destination servers; the problem lies solely with the Softaculous remote import.
