iam moving my directadmin account from a dedicated server to a vps server, will my dedicated license for softaclous work on the new server for guest accounts or do i need somehow to downgrade to vps license or what ?  thanks

Hi,

Yes you can use the Dedicated server license on your VPS. Just change your license IP:
http://softaculous.com/docs/Change_License_IP
And login to Softaculous Admin Panel -> Settings select the 'Is VPS' checkbox and click on Edit Settings.
