 MODx on cPanel not listing files (6 Replies, Read 2666 times)

Hi there,

I'm a new user of cPanel and Softaculous and I seem to have something wrong in the setup.

When I install MODx via Softaculous it's not listing any files in the MODx File Manager.
I tried changing the permissions, but even with 777 on all files and folders it doesn't work.

I ran EasyApache to configure Apache and PHP, I don't know if I forgot to activate something that's necessary for MODx to work properly (?)

I'm attaching my phpinfo()

Hi,

Is suPHP enabled on your server ?
If yes then you will have to configure Softaculous:
http://softaculous.com/docs/SuPHP_Settings

The permissions were OK. I made the change anyway, didn't help. I think it's something with the cpanel/apache/php-settings, or MODx. But neither cPanel or MODx wants to help :/

Great support guys. Thanks.

When MODx team (the ones who were suposed to help here!) didn't even bother to give a reply on my forum thread over at their place, you guys jumped into my server and looked up the source of the problem. On a saturday.

The source of the problem?
Module "mbstring" wasn't enabled (and isn't enabled by default on cPanel?!).
A module that MODx needs to list the files in the browser.
