Maintenance of softaculous packaging, Softaculous software packages: who, how, where? (1 Replies, Read 1885 times)

I am interested in the maintenance of software packaged and distributed by Softaculous, particularly as it relates to bug reporting and feature requests in the formal packaging and upgrade process(es).

For example, as an end-user I recently ran into an issue installing Drupal 9, the installer seemed to insist on a PHP version which didn't seem to align with Drupal's published requirements.  Is this managed centrally by Softaculous, or dependent on the hosting provider reselling softaculous?

Also, as a developer, I am involved in the Technical Committee for the Public Knowledge Project, which maintains Open Journal Systems and other scholarly publishing software.  How do we as maintainers best align our technical requirements and upgrade processes for distribution within Softaculous?  We are actively working on enhancements to the upgrade process internal to the software which may impact Softaculous instructions to the end-user.

Thanks!
