Hi there,

I want to move a backup of my site to a subdomain.

I am using Opencart. I have made already a clean install of Opencart at the subdomein.

Thanks in advance! Gr. Tomatito.

Hi,

Sir you will have to restore the backup manually as you want to restore it from a domain to its subdomain.
Here is the guide to restore the backup manually :
http://www.softaculous.com/docs/Manual_Restore

You will also have to check for the path and URL and change the same to the new subdomain.

As you have an OpenCart installation you will have to change the paths and URL in your database i.e. softsql.sql file before importing it and in the following files :
/path/to/installation/config.php
/path/to/installation/admin/config.php

Thanks for your reply!

What have I done:

-I have made a clean install at the subdomain
-made a upload to subdomain with Filezilla (Opencart has two config.files, I did not overwrite/replace them)
-drop at Phpmyadmin and made an import

I can login at admin (backend of the site). Everything is working oke. At the frontend (catalog) the screen is white  :squi:

What have I done wrong? Any idea?

Hi,

For eg : if you path was :
/home/USER/public_html/
and new path is :
/home/USER/public_html/SUBDOMIAN/
and URL was :
http://example.com/
and new URL is :
http://subdomain.example.com/

You need to change this.
Also if you can open a support ticket with the cPanel login details we will do this for you.
