I'm searching for a step by step instalation to use SVN (Subversion).

If it need to have Apache SVN, please include detail information (again step by step) that SVN must be installed (command, folder, etc).
In my case I se Centos 6.4, but also include most used OS.

Donot forget to include how SVN can be test to know that everything is OK.

Regards
Ricardo

Hi,

Sir here is the step to step guide on how to install Apache Subversion :
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Subversion

Once you have finished the above process you can start with the installation of SVNManager via Softaculous.

For the field "htpassword Command" use the locate command to locate the "htpasswd" file and enter the path for the "htpassword command" field.

For the field "SVN Command" use the locate command to locate the "svn" file and enter the path for the "SVN Command" field. It should be /usr/bin/svn or /usr/local/bin/svn

For the field "Svnadmin Command" use the locate command to locate the "svnadmin" file and enter the path for the "Svnadmin Command" field.

For the field "SVN Repository Location" enter the path where you created the repository in 4.3 of the below guide :
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Subversion

Please let us know if you need any further information.

svn 1.7 on centos 6.x

Hi,
I need to setup subversion server on my Webuzo VPS. But subversion 1.6.x has the old format of putting .svn directories under each subdirectory in the source tree. This is replaced by a single .svn folder in the root of the source tree in svn 1.7. However, Centos 6.x has svn 1.6 by default.

To get svn 1.7 (and later versions of many other softwares / packages) we need to use the rpmforge repo as mentioned here:
http://ulaptech.blogspot.in/2013/08/yum-install-subversion-17x.html
(That blog has many other good howtos as well)

Now, when I do a yum update after enabling the Extras repo from rpmForge a lot of packages got upgraded.

Will this break Webuzo/Softaculous? Has webuzo / softaculous been tested with rpmforge enabled?

Thanks in advance.
